Description
The new Scirocco "XL" is the enlarged and enhanced version of the successful Scirocco "L" model, developed in response to customer requests for a larger glider. With its 4.5m wingspan, it is ideally suited for thermal flights while still capable of performing light aerobatics such as rolls, loops, and turns.
Constructed with modern GRP/CFRP shell techniques, the Scirocco XL features a significantly reinforced H-shaped main spar made of Airex and laminated carbon fiber fabric, ensuring high strength and durability. Designed for hobby pilots seeking an all-round glider with a focus on thermal performance, the Scirocco XL offers excellent attitude recognition thanks to its elaborate design. The force-fitted wing connection from the center section to the outer surfaces is cleanly executed with a CFRP square spar.
The Scirocco XL comes largely pre-assembled in the PNP version with pre-installed components, including the Ro-Power Torque 4356 motor, spinner, Aeronaut propeller, and servos with wiring, minimizing construction effort.
