I bought the Pacer last week and did the maiden flight and three other flights this morning. The quality of the Pacer's foam, finish, and electronics was very good and it is a fast and easy build. I did change out the Multiplex battery connector for IC3 connector and I increased the mechanical throws for the elevator and rudder during assembly. I also increased the aileron throws to 125% in my transmitter after the second flight. Other than that, my Pacer is stock.
This is a sweet flying airplane! It's lightly loaded and will easily do anything a cub like plane would be expected to do. Power is decent on 3S, with a good bit of climb performance before she runs out of steam. Ground handling is good, although the wheels are a bit hard. landings are simple too. Flight times are also excellent. My timer is sets for six minutes using 3S 2400 SMC HV packs and I land with 50% capacity left. I'm good to try some 3S1800 packs next.
With the sale price, shipping, and tax, I paid about $175 out the door. I consider that to be a very reasonable price for the quality and performance I received.
