Description
Maximum fun factor! With the MULTIPLEX FUNRAY starts a new era of ELAPOR® models. The model of this graceful 4-swat-electric glider enthuses in the dynamic gliding aerobatics. FUNRAY has excellent all-round characteristics and proves itself in slope and thermal similarly. After a rapid descent with butterfly is pinpoint landing a pushover. FUNRAY convinces with unbelievable speed and precision in relation to aerobatics. This is new at the ELAPOR®-gliding models. This efficiency is because of the modern hybrid-construction combined with carbon fiber, high-grade steel, aluminium, plastic and special ELAPOR®- construction foam possible.
Warning: The receiver used with this airplane must be compatible with 50hz analog servos. Using a receiver intended for digital servo frame rate will ruin the included servos.

This power glider is a whole new level of fun, prepare to be overwhelmed the desire to find a large plot of airspace! Reason for 4 stars? I had a literal bear of a time with the wing joining plug/MPX connectors, particularly the right wing. The joining of the wings was wonky from the get. Pushing on one wing causes the other to ease out just a little. Rince and repeat, over and over and man theres no graceful way to grab these sleek/slender long wing surfaces/fuselage while all this is going on.. I had the Heron years ago when it was a new model and had the same issues. After much manipulation of the wings they felt as if they were plugged in OK. Servo centering tool to confirm aileron from flap plug (Man, wouldn’t it be great if they put some labels on these servo wire ends in the RR package??!!) and guess what! Right wing has short somewhere, neither servo would respond to input. Turns out to be a fault in the wing connector. I spent a lot of time trying to plug in the wings that I am now resigned to leaving them attached. 2 Meters is just small enuf to slide into the back of my suv with one wing tip coming up to rest on the passenger seat head rest.
This plane is formidable in the air and oh so stable and just a joy to fly. Confidence inspiring is what comes to mind as she responds instantly to heavy flight surface deflection and changes attitude instantly in the sky. She slows way down and ascends up to the heavens with the greatest of ease. So…. I ended up getting long servo extension wires and bypassing the plugs (Tearing them out was uber fun) and just routing the wiring thru the hole that the plugs used to be residing in. I am so impressed with the flight characteristics that the flaw in wing/plug issues aren’t an issue for me. I did have a hard landing after boo boo setting a timer to pause when no throttle and lost track of flight time. Ouch. She spiraled from about 30 feet up . Wing detached and slight crunch in nose. Boiling water and CA and, you guessed it, laminate on the nose and shes back attacking the skies! Now with second timer to record total flight time. I did see a slight bend in one of the tube spars that join the wings together. I did not notice this at first but after plugging the wings in the final wing trailing edge would push out whilst pushing the other in, like there was something in the wing root keeping it from plugging in all the way. Turns out the nose hit bent the square tube spar just slightly forward. I was able to place the end of this spar in a vice and straighten it out.
This ship is well equipped to push some serious Gs and also floats real well, alot of fun in one battery pack, just mind your timers and those control surfaces use more power than you might think!
